FAQ

Can I edit the existing text, not just add on top?

Yes. Click any line and type. When you save, the old words are covered with the page’s own background color and your new text is written in a matching font, size and color.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The editor runs in your browser, so contracts, invoices and forms never leave your device.

Will the font look exactly the same?

Most PDFs only embed the letters they use, so the editor writes your changes in the closest standard font (sans-serif, serif or monospace, bold or regular) at the same size and color. For short fixes the difference is hard to notice.

Is the old text deleted from the file?

It is covered, not deleted: the original words stay in the file’s data underneath your change, so they can still show up if someone copies text or searches the PDF. Do not use this tool to hide confidential information.

Can I edit scanned PDFs?

Scans are pictures of text, so there is no text to click. You can still add new text on top of a scanned page.

Is there a watermark or page limit?

No watermark and no page limit. Very large documents simply take longer to show on slower devices.
